Plastic Surgery encompasses both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. Cosmetic surgery is elective and is not covered by insurance. Patients seek cosmetic surgery to improve on the appearance of a particular physical feature such as facial structure, body contours or chest enhancement. Examples of common cosmetic procedures are breast augmentation, liposuction, tummy tucks, facelifts and rhinoplasty. Reconstructive surgery is often sought out to improve on a physical defect – whether caused by accident or congenital anomaly. Sometimes, insurance can cover such procedures. Reconstructive procedures can include skin cancer reconstruction or breast reconstruction after mastectomy. Please contact our office for more information regarding insurance.
Please see the list to the right to view more information on your preferred plastic surgery procedure. These descriptions provide general explanations about each procedure; however, Dr. Bogue will discuss a very specific plan of care with you at your initial consultation. Each patient is unique and a personalized plan is required for the best result.
