David Bogue, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon in Boca Raton whose practice includes cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, complex breast implant revision and removal, body contouring, and physician-performed injectable treatments. Breast surgery represents the largest part of his practice, ranging from first-time cosmetic procedures to challenging problems following previous surgery.
Dr. Bogue trained at the University of Michigan and Georgetown University Hospital and has contributed to published plastic surgery research. His peers selected him to serve as Vice-Chief and later Chief of the Department of Surgery at Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
His approach to patient care is direct and personal. Dr. Bogue allows time to understand what each patient wants, explains the limitations and tradeoffs of the available options, and recommends only the treatment he believes is appropriate. He personally develops each surgical plan and remains closely involved throughout recovery.
Education and Plastic Surgery Training
Dr. Bogue began his education at the University of Michigan, where he earned a degree in computer engineering and graduated magna cum laude. He continued at the University of Michigan Medical School, earned his medical degree in 2002, and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
He completed a six-year plastic surgery residency at Georgetown University Hospital, with training in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, including complex breast, limb, and microsurgical reconstruction. He served as Administrative Chief Resident during his final year and earned certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 2009, scoring in the 100th percentile on the oral examination.

Awards, Honors and Surgical Leadership
Dr. Bogue has received recognition from both patients and fellow physicians. He has been named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor six times and was inducted into the RealSelf 100 & 500 Hall of Fame in 2018.
His professional background also includes election to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and active membership in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Within the Boca Raton medical community, he served as Vice-Chief of Surgery from 2012 to 2015 and Chief of Surgery from 2015 to 2017 at Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
These distinctions reflect Dr. Bogue’s longstanding commitment to surgical standards, patient education, and professional leadership.

Beyond the Operating Room
Dr. Bogue lives in Boca Raton with his wife and two children. Outside the office, he enjoys drumming and music, traveling, book collecting, and Michigan Wolverines football. A proud University of Michigan alumnus, he enjoys returning to Ann Arbor for games at The Big House. His family’s Michigan connection continues through his son, who is studying engineering at the University of Michigan College of Engineering.
Dr. Bogue believes in supporting the community where he lives and practices. He donates annually to Run for the Ribbons and has also supported the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the Go Pink Luncheon.
