Choosing where an operation should be performed is part of planning surgery safely. Dr. Bogue performs cosmetic and reconstructive surgery at two established surgical facilities in Boca Raton: Boca Raton Outpatient Surgery & Laser Center and Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
The appropriate facility depends on the complexity and anticipated length of surgery, anesthesia requirements, medical history, insurance coverage, and possible need for an overnight stay. Dr. Bogue discusses the recommended location during surgical planning so patients understand where their procedure will take place and why that setting is appropriate.
Selected smaller procedures that require only local anesthesia may be performed in Dr. Bogue’s Boca Raton office.
Boca Raton Outpatient Surgery & Laser Center
Boca Raton Outpatient Surgery & Laser Center is an accredited ambulatory surgery center designed for procedures that do not require hospital admission. Dr. Bogue performs many of his cosmetic operations here, including breast surgery, body-contouring procedures, and appropriately selected combined procedures.
The center provides dedicated operating rooms, anesthesia services, and monitored postoperative recovery. Patients remain at the center until they are ready for discharge and then return home with a responsible adult. Dr. Bogue recommends this facility when the planned operation can be performed safely on an outpatient basis and an overnight stay is not anticipated.

Boca Raton Regional Hospital
Boca Raton Regional Hospital, part of Baptist Health South Florida, provides a full hospital setting with access to inpatient care and overnight accommodations when appropriate.
Dr. Bogue may recommend the hospital for reconstructive surgery, procedures requiring hospital resources, patients whose medical history favors a hospital setting, or operations for which an overnight stay may be beneficial. Some patients return home the same day, while others remain overnight based on the procedure and their individual needs.

How Is the Surgical Facility Selected?
Dr. Bogue recommends the surgical setting after the procedure and medical plan have been established. Factors include:
- The type and complexity of the operation
- The anticipated surgical time
- Whether multiple procedures are being combined
- The patient’s medical history and clearance
- Anesthesia and monitoring requirements
- The possible need for an overnight stay
- Insurance requirements, when applicable
Patient safety is the primary consideration. The planned facility may change if medical clearance identifies additional needs or the surgical plan is revised.
Facility and anesthesia charges are separate from Dr. Bogue’s surgical fee. More information is available on our Financing Options page.
