Cosmetic Surgical Consultations
A cosmetic surgical consultation with Dr. Bogue is a dedicated appointment to discuss your concerns, examine the area being considered for surgery, review your options, and develop an individualized surgical plan.
The consultation fee is $100. If you schedule surgery, the full consultation fee is credited toward Dr. Bogue’s surgical fee.
Because approximately one hour is reserved for each consultation, at least 72 hours’ notice is required for cancellation. With sufficient notice, the consultation fee will be refunded. The fee is not refundable for late cancellations or missed appointments.
Consultations for Botox and dermal fillers are complimentary and are not subject to the $100 cosmetic surgical consultation fee.
Surgical Quotes and Payment Schedule
Patients considering cosmetic surgery receive an itemized quote outlining:
- Dr. Bogue’s surgical fee
- Estimated anesthesia and facility fees based on the anticipated operating time
- Implant costs, when applicable
- Acellular dermal matrix costs, when applicable
Anesthesia and facility charges are paid separately to the hospital or surgery center, or anesthesia provider.
A deposit equal to 20% of Dr. Bogue’s surgical fee is due when surgery is scheduled. This reserves the operating-room time and prevents another procedure from being scheduled in that time slot. The remaining 80% of the surgical fee is due two weeks before surgery.
The deposit is nonrefundable unless medical clearance determines that the patient cannot safely undergo the planned procedure.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
Operating-room time is reserved specifically for each patient. If surgery is cancelled for a nonmedical reason:
- More than two weeks before surgery, the 20% deposit is forfeited
- Within two weeks of surgery, Dr. Bogue’s entire surgical fee is forfeited
Applicable implant charges are returned. Anesthesia and facility fees are paid separately and are subject to the policies of the hospital, surgery center, and anesthesia provider.
Surgery may be rescheduled without an additional charge when reasonable advance notice is provided. A requested change within two weeks of surgery may require a rescheduling fee. Cancellations or schedule changes required for a documented medical reason do not incur these penalties.
Payments for completed surgical services are not refundable. If an unexpected implant problem covered by a manufacturer’s warranty is discovered during surgery, the applicable replacement implant cost will be returned to the patient.
Insurance Coverage
Dr. Bogue participates with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Medicare. The practice does not participate with HMO plans. Patients with out-of-network benefits may also be seen, depending on the terms of their insurance plan.
Insurance coverage varies by procedure and policy. Patients remain responsible for applicable deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, and noncovered services. Authorization from an insurance company does not necessarily guarantee payment.
Some procedures may include both a medically necessary component covered by insurance and a cosmetic component that must be paid by the patient. When this applies, our team will explain the distinction and provide the appropriate financial information before surgery.

We accept the following forms of payment:

- CareCredit
CareCredit offers financing options that may allow qualified patients to make monthly payments rather than paying the entire balance at once. Approval, available plans, interest rates, and payment terms are determined by CareCredit.
