Breast Reconstruction – Latissimus Flap – Before & After Case 43

Case Details

73 yo patient with a recurrence of right breast cancer. She had undergone a right lumpectomy with radiation ~30years prior. Due to the previous radiation, decision was made for a latissimus flap reconstruction from the back to replace the radiation skin. The latissimus flap with an expander was performed immediately with the mastectomy. The expander was exchanged for a 550cc high profile silicone implant. At exchange, an augmentation (125cc implant) mastopexy was performed on the left breast for symmetry.
