56 year old female with implants from 2009. She felt too large and wanted to remove her implants altogether. The goal was to achieve a B cup breast. This would leave signifcant sagginess to the breasts and thus a breast lift was performed at the same time as implant removal. The smaller B cup breasts were much more comfortable for the patient.

61 year old woman with 33 year old silicone gel implants. The capsules were very tight and the implants ruptured. She underwent a bilateral breast capsulectomy (scar removal) with new silicone gel implants. Old implants were 325cc textured silicone gel implants and the new implants were smaller Mentor 255cc MHX silicone gel implants. The results demonstrate a more natural appearance and the implants were now soft and comfortable for the patient.
77 year old patient with breast implants from the early 1980s. The implants were both ruptured creating significant scarring and distortion of the breasts. Surgery consisted of removal of the implants, scar capsules, and remaining silicone. A reaugmentation with 215cc MPX (Right) and 270cc MPX (Left) implants was performed to reestablish an aesthetic appearance. The final results demonstrate soft implants without breast distortion.
A very active 51 year old woman with implants for over 15 years. The implants were hard, elevated, and too large for the patient. Goals from surgery were to remove the scars and reaugment with smaller implants in the same subglandular (on top of the muscle) space. Previous implants were 550cc MP+ silicone gel implants. Surgery consisted of removal of the scar capsules and reaugmentation with 400cc MHX silicone gel implants in the same subglandular space. The final results are more proportional implants which are soft and in proper position.
62 year old patient with a 30+ year history of breast implants. Her last implants were placed over 20 years ago - 400cc silicone gel implants. The large size of the implants distorted the breasts over time and she wanted to have smaller breasts with an improved shape. Surgery consisted of replacing the 400cc silicone gel implants with 190cc MPX silicone gel implants and reducing/lifting both breasts. The results show signficantly more proportional breasts with improved position and size.
57 year old patient with implants placed over 20 years ago. Over time, the breast tissue began to sag off the front of the implants. In addition, she felt the implants were too large and she wished to decrease size and improve the breast shape. The surgical plan consisted of downsizing her saline implants from 300cc to 210cc and performing a breast lift. The final results show a more natural appearance to the breasts with the breast gland properly positioned over the new implants.
46 year old patient with a history of breast augmentation in the 1990s. She was uncomfortable with her large breasts and wanted to remove the implants and reduce her size. She wore a 38DD bra and wanted to be closer to a small C. Removal of the 400cc saline implants (known as an "explant") and breast reductions (~150-200grams per side) were performed. She is much happier at her current size, stating, "I should have done this years ago!"
49 year old patient with a previous breast augmentation in 2010. She had capsular contracture which was painful at times. Her implants were 450cc MP+ and felt too large. She underwent removal of the capsules and a decrease in implant size to 325cc MPX silicone gel implants. This improved her breast appearance, decreased the size, and resolved her discomfort.
51 yo female with a previous submuscular breast augmentation 15 years prior. She had MRI confirmation of a right implant rupture, bilateral breast ptosis (sagginess), and asymmetry. Her goals were to replace the implants for something rounder and fuller, lift both breasts, and improve the symmetry. The previous implants and scar capsules were removed, new 650cc HPX Mentor silicone gel implants were placed, and mastopexies (breast lifts) were performed.
68 yo female with previous breast augmentation and revision. She developed a disfiguring capsular contracture of the left breast implant and a minor contracture of the right implant. Neither implant was ruptured. Breast augmentation revision performed by removing all the capsule scar tissue and reaugmentating with 240cc MPX implants. Significantly improved breast appearance and feel.
