68 yo female with bilateral breast silicone implant ruptures. The preoperative photos demonstrate no evidence of rupture. The ruptures were discovered on imaging studies of the breasts. Most ruptures are “silent” and do not show as a deformity of the breast. Replacement of the implants (Mentor 300cc MP+ silicone gel) performed with no signficant change in appearance, but certainly an improvement in patient concern and anxiety.
