Case Details
46 yo woman with a diagnosis of left breast cancer. Planned treatment for bilateral skin sparing mastectomies. Reconstruction consisted of two-stage tissue expander to implant reconstruction. Immediate submuscular tissue expanders were placed at the time of mastectomies. After gentle filling of the expanders to the patient’s desired size, the expanders were replaced with 465cc High Profile Xtra silicone gel implants. Fat transfers from the abdomen were also performed to the upper poles of each breast to improve the appearance. 3-D nipple tattooing would be the next step in the reconstruction should the patient wish to do so.
