Breast Reconstruction 5

Individual results may vary.

Case Details

66 year old woman with a history of previous left breast cancer treated with partial mastectomy and radiation. She developed a recurrence in the left breast necessitating a mastectomy. Due to the damage from the previous radiation, a latissimus dorsi flap with a tissue expander was planned. After expansion, the final implant was placed on the left, a nipple reconstruction was performed, and a lift with an implant was performed on the right to achieve symmetry. The final results show excellent symmetry particularly given the history of radiation to the left side.
